Final Projects

First Bowl
Second Bowl
Third Bowl
This was my first bowl on the wheel and I think I did okay, but for all of my wheel bowls, I need to work on centering the clay before making what I thought of.

First Hand Build
This was my only Hand build for the final, and it is a little small. It broke the day I received it from. My main idea of this was to have a top with a handle (being the big ball on the top) but instead of it breaking into two pieces, it broke in three. So the top and the ball broke from the base.

Sketch for Surface Design Project

Here are all of my ideas of what I want to do for my Surface Design Project. I have 3 wind chimes and all of them have different subjects but the same surface design technique.

All my Projects 12/12/2017

Hollow Self-Portrait
This is my first project or artwork. It was originally supposed to be an egg but  I was forming it made it lob sided so I just made it into a mountain.  The glazing was a mistake as of the blue. On the outside of the bottle, it seemed white so I used it but turned out to be blue. I used a fork to make the grass like texture on the bottom and the little dent in the middle was made by my thumb. I also used some type of metal tool to make the little dents into the mountain.
Coil Pot
This is my second project. I used coil to make this but at the bottom, to the top, I join the coils together to smoothen them out. The little circle was supposed to be a heart but I messed it up and found it to be a circle and just went with it. With the glazing part, I didn't for sure know what to glaze it so I just picked colors that went well with each other.
Practice Slab Construction
This was my latest project. It is not well constructed and I struggle with slab. My other box was better than this one but it broke so I had to make a whole new box. My plan was to hold my game CD cases but I will just use it for the TV remote and other things of that sort. Again with glazing, I didn't know what colors so I picked what was left on the shelf and used red and yellow.
