Sprigging, Slip Trailing, and Impressed Texture

Sprigging-Adding small shapes in clay to decorate another clay article. They can be flat or with a molded form.

Slip-Trailing- is the application to a clay surface of lines of slip using a fine-pointed dispenser.
 

Impressed Texture- is to indent designs into the clay or project that leaves a pattern.
